Brewery Tour & Tasting

Have known double-barrelled brewery for a while, they make really awesome beers and thought why not have a brewery tour and see about the history
Tour guide was amazingly lovely and very informative, told everyone about the history of brewing in reading which is really good, as someone who was born from reading and live near Bracknell, it's great to hear a lot of history behind it, the samples were brilliant, have tried the beers before, the ding lager is getting better the more I drink it, best one is cherry vanilla cake sour, nice and fruity with a delicate yet smooth vanilla aftertaste on the palette, for those of you who have not heard of double barrelled, get yourselves down there, you will definitely have a good time there, great customer service and everything

Becky was brilliant and lead the tour without fault. I truly enjoyed the beer and knowledge that was shared. Excellent beer and excellent people! I would reccomend to anyone keen on beer.

Becky was a fantastic historian of Double Barrelled despite being poorly. Cassie gave us a great walkthrough of the brewing kit.

Had a fabulous experience at Double-Barrelled on Saturday 18th October. Becky who conducted the day was excellent, very knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. The beer is pretty good too. A perfect birthday treat from my daughter and fiancé. Highly recommend!

Becky was an excellent host/guide, expertly blending humour, knowledge, and passion in her delivery. The beer tasting was very enjoyable and we were interested to learn all about the formation and development of the brewery.

A group of 15 or so strangers sat and sampled a varied range of DB beers, ranging from the core lager Ding, to hazy IPAs, pale ales and a special lemon drizzle sour, tutored by the wonderful Cassie. She described the interesting history of Double-Barrelled and how they produce their beers. Her friendly spiel included plenty of amusing anecdotes of the joys and pitfalls of brewing and answered several questions before showing us around the set, from grist mill to mash tun to kettle to heat exchanger to fermenting vessels to canning line. Or something like that! It was a great day and experience in this lovely taproom.
